Q. Im wanting a new style and I would like help from people on here, because whenever I try and make an outfit it seems to just not match or look boring.

A. For a casual look, you could wear any color skinny jeans with it (except your standard blue jeans or white)-black, red, bright blue...

I think colored clothes would look best with it because the top is already black and white, so any greys, whites or blacks will make you look dreary and boring and tired. The colors however will pop out nicely.
As for shoes, I think converse would look like best with it.

nice boots for a larger woman?

Q. My friend bought a pair of mid-calf boots from The Avenue, as they are supposed to accomodate larger calves. She couldn't get them zipped up and now she is depressed. She returned them for something else but she really wants a trendy pair of boots that will fit her comfortable and I would love to surprise her, maybe for Christmas! Suggestions?

They do have times where they're more popular, & lately more people have been wearing them, but they don't go out of style even when they aren't as trendy. I had pairs when I was a teen that I'd still wear now if I had them, & that look basically exactly the same as the ones people wear now, & this is going back about 15 yrs. So they're a classic & a good investment. My most fav ones were black, mid-calf, but the best part was they had a thicker than average sole and steel toes, which was so cute because it sort of bumped up the toes. But I digress....
But with the sizing, I don't know if they do it the same for the ones specifically marked as 'womens' or not, but the ones I had were all unisex styles. I had boots & sandals, & while I usually wear a ladies size 10 in US sizes, all my Docs were a size 8. But like I said, they were all unisex styles, & I never had any specifically marked as 'women's'. On top of that, UK sizes tend to run differently anyway. I'd read the reviews & see what they say; if there's none or not that many for the specific pair you want, read reviews on their other women's boots & see what most of the people are saying about the sizing. And check to see if there's a 1-800 number-often times the people on the phone can help with sizing. Or see if there's a store in your area that carries Docs & go try them on to get an idea before you place your order. Because even though Nordstrom is good w/returns & does free shipping both ways, I know how it is if it's something you want, you don't want to go through all of that w/exchanging them and even risk them being sold out by the time you make your exchange.

Then we have the 70s, represented by punk fashion. This style born as an anarchic and aggressive movement. It was cheap clothe and it used to represent the poor and rebel part of society. Self mutilation and body piercings were the hit. The most important thing for punks was the hair.

Fashion in the 80s was influenced by television and series like Dallas and Dinasty. Suits, t-shirts, a lot of make up and jewellry were the accesories that people used to wear. In the 80s the bigger the better especially in hair styles. Strong colors like blue, pink, red and green were trendy. Blouses were base on romantic looks. And of course we cannot forget the shoulder pads.

The 90s was synonim of blue jeans, t-shirts and jackets. It was the time of the grunge were some people wore old t-shirts and dirty jeans. Others try dress like pop stars using colors like black and pink. The new accesory was the mobile phone.

And now fashion in 2010 is represented by different styles. Most people especially teenagers follow some bands and try to dress like them. There are many urban tribus now that create different styles.

Q. Hey, im starting out on a transformation tomorrow to have a date by valentines day. I know its important for a guy to like you for who you are, but feeling pretty and attractive is essential too! So...

Im always in converse or boots. wear some concealer and mascara. generally tie hair up and am 5''6, 130lb with boobs ..which are much too big if you ask me :(

i like bright skinny jeans and pretty feminine tops. or funky tees. unique retro and mod accessories, big aviators, headbands, clips, anything!

if i do say so myself, im pretty good at doing makeup. haha. i like bright MAC and urban decay colors and liquid colored liners. some foundation, maybe a sheer red lip stain.

my hair is super choppy/layered and dark brown. (used to be pink and blonde) i have thick bangs, that are in between straight across and swept to one side. im growing it long this year.

im really thin and people seem to strive to have my figure. i have no idea why. guys would much prefer to have a curvy woman and i hate my chicken legs! i definately eat more than your average person too. im petite at a teeny 5'1".

well i guess that describes my outward appearance. im crazy at times and love hanging out with guys too.
