What type of shoes would you wear with a cotton purple dress?

Q. I have a purple dress with black stripes, and it is short and cute. It's kind of like a t-shirt dress as its cotton, but it is sleeveless....I was wondering what kind of shoes would you wear with it?

A. You could wear silver gladiator sandals with it, they're trendy.

Nothing too fancy, like high heels.

What style of shoes to wear with skinny jeans when I have big feet?
Q. I love wearing pointy toed shoes for work which is fine as I wear corporate pants and my feet don't look as massive when I wear them like that but I like wearing skinny jeans too, what style of shoes would look okay when I have big feet with the skinny jeans? Not thongs/flip flops though..

A. Flats will make your feet look longer, so they aren't the best choice. Apply the same concept that you use with dress pants to your casual pants: A higher heel will visually shorten the foot. Wedge heels are big this spring and summer and cool canvas and fabric wedges come in a rainbow of colors and prints. You can get them from ultra high four inches to more casual lower heeled versions. Here are a couple of options that will work: http://www.aldoshoes.com/ca-eng/women/sandals/wedges/95056030-glynis/37 is a nice lower heeled wedge. http://www.aldoshoes.com/ca-eng/women/sandals/wedges/93976140-stralsund/46 these are a bit dressier and will also work with summer skirts and sun dresses. http://www.aldoshoes.com/ca-eng/women/sandals/wedges/93991500-celenia/32 a basic canvas wedge like this can go with almost everything. http://www.callitspring.com/ca-eng/women/sandals/wedges/93522480-stolarik/53 this is a sky high floral wedge that's very trendy and this canvas one: http://www.callitspring.com/ca-eng/women/sandals/wedges/94812367-marceli/17 has a very different shape to the heel part of the wedge. There's lots of wedges in stores, all you need to do is find the ones you like the best.

In modern times what qualities does the Japanese culture think of as beautiful in a woman?

Q. im doing an adaptation of every man with Japanese influences. what would the modern Japanese society say constitutes a beautiful person.im looking for a physical description. i know women like to have larger eyes, even having surgery to get them, and some wear contacts that are light. also who in there society would be an extremely wise and knowledgeable person?

A. Japanese female beauty trends and subcultures:

- Large eyes
- thin and well-projected nose bridge
- prominent chin.
- small face
- bleached white teeth
- Thin body, big beasts, hairless body
- Trendy eyebrow looks
- Healthy look
- Jutting shoulders, angled elbows and hips
- crescent eyebrows
- bleached hair
- makeup enhancing the eyes
- modern (western) hairstyles.
- high heel shoes
- Traditional clothing (kimono) made modern
- Nape of the neck is a erotic part of the body
- Cute appearance through frilly or child-like clothing with small body
- High voice
- Some girls imitate animes with over the top dresses and accessories that sometimes contrast strikingly. (Example: Lolita fashion style)
- sexy fit body (meant to be sexual and sassy intimidation for men)
- Goth styles are popular
- miniskirts
- b-girls (Japanese girls wear ethnic clothes and frizzy hair styles common among African Americans. They also tan their bodies)
- certain youth sub-cultures are aimed at shocking or intimidating portraying sexual power

The Japanese view wisdom and silence as more important than knowledge. There emperor is viewed as very wise and knowledgeable but also discreet in his manner. Men are perceived as more wise or knowledgeable than women. The father is still the head of the house and has the most power.

How do you dress cute, but not girly?
Q. I work with a lot of older women, and I want to dress professional but not boring but not childish either because I want to be taken seriously
Like the girls on the Hills but not as expensive. They dress cute but not childish or slutish right?

A. 1] buy clothes that flatter your figure and coloring, not just 'hot' items
2] buy things that coordinate without being to matchy-matchy
[ like brown leather jacket with brown tweed top of knee skirt = cute and professional, but not girly or boring ]
3] trends in tops usually blend into office wear better than any 'funky' [ puddle pants, very high waists, skinny jeans, micro minis, hooker stilettos, sky high platforms ] bottoms or shoes. They are also cheaper, overall!
4] add some interesting belts to a 'boring' outfit - chain, lace, velvet, patent leather, woven, crocodile.
5] wear interesting shoes - different heel heights, colors, textures, [ velvet, quilted, etc. ]. No open toes, or sandals.
6] wear trendy costume jewelry [ not juvenile! ]. Avoid plastic beads, etc. Try various precious metals, and modern set stones for rings, earrings.
7] grown up hair - ponytail with a barette - yes, with a scrunchie or banana clip - no; pigtails - no.
french braid or single braid - yes, double braids - no
pulled back with barette or leather or fabric band - yes, plastic headband - no.

Where can I find stylish shoes that will support my Plantar Fascitis feet?

Q. I wear my custom orthodics in my sneakers when possible, but I can't wear sneakers to work or less causal events. Any suggestions on where to find trendy/stylish shoes, sandals, or flats that are reasonably priced?
I need an alternative to sneakers with my custom orthodics. I can't wear sneakers to work.

A. A reputable tennis shoe with good support (leather) is always good. If you do use an orthotic (whether custom- made or store-bought), be sure to take the inlay that comes with the shoe out first.
Also, be sure to do heel stretching exercises.

Whats the difference between skateboarding shoes and BMX shoes?
Q. I saw these pairs of awesome looking BMX shoes by DCshoes but, I'm a skater and don't BMX.
So I wanted to know, whats the difference?
Could I use the BMX shoes to skate?

A. BMX shoes generally are built to suit the protection needs for bmxing eg. stiffer sole... skate shoes are usually more trendy and have a little less padding than bmx shoes but in general aqre made to suit the needs of skateboarding.

What makes a person look wealthy and classy?

Q. I'm such a frumpy dork. I am 32, married mother of one. I teach a room full of 12-24 months toddlers M-F and am housewife/mom during all my moments "off duty". So, I'm wondering...is it possible for me to change the way I look and and make it believable? I normally wear a t-shirt + knee length shorts + sneakers to school. At home I'm still wearing the knee length shorts + flip flops and a nicer top. I probably change 40-60 diapers a day, then come home and clean house/cook/lounge. What is most important when you see someone who has a classy trendy look? Shoes, hair or clothing? I'm a motherly size 8-10 right now. Where should I shop, what name brands are cool for my age group what sort of shoes should I be wearing? I have mid-back length hair, dark brown w/ small amount of greys(especially on top)...should I cut it, highlight it? I just want to be accepted and respected. Can you help?

A. look at some fashion magazines and see what kind of look you prefer and then look at the stores they listed in the magazine. for now, here are some stores: cleo, reitmans, laura, fashion max, smart set

Where can I find trendy toddler boots for my son?
Q. Don't want Oldnavy, Gap, Jcrew or any other big name brands.
Most parents don't dress their children in crap. Most parents actually care what their children's clothing looks like. My child is 3, not an infant. If you didn't care then don't waist my time and not answer the question.
Not looking for Big names again...looking for mom and pop shops that have websites. Thanks.

A. Try Brooks Shoes, Little happy feet or shoes zoo !

Where can I buy these shoes?
Q. I really want a pair of the 5 finger shoes for women. The only place I can think of buying them would be off on online, but I hate buying anything that I haven't tried on and seen in person.

What stores sell them? Thanks.

A. You can get them at any warehouse shoe sale or foot action. I got mine at warehouse shoe sale there way cheap like $50.00 or less. They don't carry them at foot locker cause there not considered "trendy" just watch though they'll have them sooner or later.

How can I dress better without looking like a tool?

Q. I've never taken a deep plunge into fashion, so going all out with the latest would not be in my character. I'll wear skinny jeans, but scarves seem awkward if not for cold weather. I don't really understand how to use accessories, or colors, or matching. I'm also short, so any advice on short guys dressing trendy would be greatly appreciated.

A. shirts = plain white tees, graphic tees (no logos if possible), & the occasional abercrombie shirt (dont overdo it tho, or you'll look like a douchebag!)

jeans = anything! guys can pull off virtually any style, so dont limit yourself. heres some inspiration: http://www.ae.com/web/browse/category_full_fashion_guide.jsp?catId=cat130130 -skinny jeans are tricky to pull off, so try on a lot of styles before you buy

NO fashion scarfs! please leave those to women

shoes = you can go with skater vans: http://shop.vans.com/catalog/Vans/en_US/product/men/skate-shoes/widow-men.html

the universally loved converse: http://www.converse.com/?CSID=212#/s/products/collections/specialcollection7 (high or low tops)

or (depending on the occasion) a flip flop: http://search.yahoo.com/bin/search?p=abercrombie

for hoodies and jackets, there are many looks you can go with.

skater = vans, element, fox (you can buy these brands at Pacsun)

beachy-casual = abercrombie, hollister, aeropostle

preppy = the gap

What would be appropriate attire for a middle-aged woman to wear to relative's wedding?
Q. My aunt told me my cousin is engaged and the wedding will likely be late summer or early autumn. I assume I will be invited, but I don't know if it will be formal or casual. I don't own any really "dress-up" clothes. The best thing I have right now is a pair of jeans with no holes or tears and a scrub-type top with butterflies on it. Getting me to dress-up is like getting Peppermint Patty to wear a dress. Any suggestions?

A. Arg - Middle age - That's me and it's tough to go shopping, isn't it? You don't want to wear something too young and trendy and end up looking like a "Real Housewife", yet you don't want to look like an old lady wearing Sag Harbor, either. You also want to wear something that you would wear again. Every woman should have a few good staples in her wardrobe. For example, a little black dress. Once you have one, you'll find yourself wearing it all the time.

You can't go wrong with the LBD:

I have big feet. How am I to find a pair of descent, good-looking shoes with feet as big as mine??

Q. It's like this, I go to a shoe store & all of he shoes there are so trendy and everything. So, for feet as big as mine, I cant find one that I'm satisfied with. I wear sport shoes to school. And that ain't comfortable.

A. YOU DIDN'T SAY WHAT SIZE AND IT'S NOT NECESSARY FOR ME TO KNOW. GO ONLINE AND TRY MASON SHOES, MORDSTROM'S, CLOUD CLIMBERS, LANE BRYANT AND FOR DISCOUNT SHOES AND BOOTS TRY JESSICA LONDON. EACH COMPANY LISTED HAS CATALOGS ONLINE AND IN PAPER. THE SIZES RANGE FROM NARROW TO EXTRA WIDE AND THEY HAVE YOUNG UP TO DATE SELECTIONS FOR THE MOST PART. THERE ARE SOME SPECIALTY SHOE STORES OUT HERE TOO. JUST BE PATIENT WITH YOURSELF AND SURF THE NET. TRY "LARGE SIZE SHOES FOR WOMEN" FOR INITIAL WEB SEARCH AND TAKE IT FROM THERE.

How do you construct perfect everyday outfits?
Q. they don't have to seem flawless like you worked on it for hours, but seem like you put an effort. How do seem people do it? How do you put your summer/spring outfits together? What do they usually consist of? What colors do you use? Clothing stuff (cardigans, blazers, stuff like that).
How old are you and what's your fashion sense (preppy, trendy, emo, etc)

A. I would describe my fashion as artsy and free-spirited. For spring, I like white and baby blue, along with more spring-ish colors like yellow and orange. Here is my shopping checklist:

CLOTHES
-Cardigans: have at least two; one short and one long. You can put them over dresses to make them more casual, but they are an easy way to clean up a sloppy outfit.
-Skirts: always have at least one. You never know what fancy event will pop up last minute. I like floral ones for spring.
-Dresses: go by the skirt rule. Casual dresses can be nice for school and stuff.
-T-shirts: Have at least two tees. Go for one graphic, one plain, loose one that you can use to layer.
-Sweaters: Always have a pullover sweater. Always. They go with everything. Slouchy sweaters are great for a spring effortless look.
-Tanks: Have tight tanks for layering and loose tanks to go under sweaters.
-Sweatshirts: at least two. Some days you just need a sweatshirt.
-Jeans: Three-five pairs. Don't wear uncomfortable jeans. They are the worst thing EVER. Even if they are trendy, don't wear them. Personally, I like skinny jeans, but I have the worst time finding them because I have large feet and issues with jeans getting over my feet. haha...
-Shorts: Three-five pairs. Abide by the jean rule. Also, short-shorts are not that great. They're tricky to wear, because you can't wear tops that are too short or too long.
-Tops: get some basic shirts.

SHOES:
-flats
-sneakers
-sandals
-flip-flops

ACCESSORIES
-Scarves (I have many patterns and colors to work with)
-Necklaces (I wear layers and layers of them. In my opinion, outfits look better with necklaces and other jewelry, because the fine details draw attention to the clothing.)
-Bracelets (Again, with the layering thing ^)

How to build a Stylish wardrobe on a budget !!!?

Q. So ive got in a habit of buying plain stuff, like T-shirts and jeans. And either black or white shoes because they go with everything . And I dont have enough money to alot of diffrent shoes . And far as clothes I pick simple tshirts because I feel like really dont ho anywhere fancy .And if I buy something super cute or trendy . 9 times outta 10 .I wont have shoes to wear with it in my closet or any accessories . I wear a size 12 in women and their shoes can be expensive. Im tired of looking dull. How can I build a cute summer wardrobe.

A. You can shop ebay for some cheap but cute clothing.

Otherwise, when you shop for tshirts and plain items, look for things with graphics on the front or go for plain still but bolder colors. You can customise things at home yourself really easily, with tons of ideas on youtube and pintrest. Things like cut outs made into bows, adding ribbons weaved through the fabric to cinch in the waist, tie dying etc.

Folding up your jeans can give you an instantly revamped look, adding studs to leggings, even fabric paint.

Wearing scarves and jewelry pulls together simple outfits really effortlessly.

You can fold up the sleeves on your tshirts for an edgier look, or if you have button up shirts, leave the last couple of buttons undone and tie the shirt in the front.

Have you thought about buying colored blazers or statement jackets, so you don't have to change your wardrobe but have something different to wear with the same outfits?

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/161000551620?var=460163843345&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649
Things like this are also really cheap and cute, and can be worn tons of ways. You can wear them loose, cinched in with a belt, tucked into jeans and skirts, tied at the front for a cropped look etc

Black skater skirts are good because they look cute, you can tuck shirts/t's into them, they go well with hooded jackets, blazers, cardigans, and pretty much any shoe.

As for shoes, you could opt for colored sandals, black slipper flats, gladiator sandals etc because they work with pretty much anything.

Anyone know where I can find women's narrow shoes?
Q. Does anyone know of a website where I can find cute, trendy narrow shoes? I've looked at several sites but the only ones I can find are either very old looking or are birkenstocks (ewww!) All the regular size shoes I've tried in a 5 are too wide and gap at the sides.I think I need a size 5AA (narrow). Too small to find in stores. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

A. Why don't you try Nordstroms.com or go to a nearest Nordstrom and have the sales people bring you a pair of shoes that you like in narrow or wide, whichever you need. Most the time they are really good with having different widths for their customers! If not, try the brand "Stuart Witzman" He has very cute but narrow shoes, although they are on the pricier side!

Skinny jeans? white converse? grey cardi? black military boots? help me!

A. For a casual look, you could wear any color skinny jeans with it (except your standard blue jeans or white)-black, red, bright blue...
Also a bright colored cardigan would look good with it (http://s7v1.scene7.com/is/image/JohnLewis/000030108?$product$) kind of like the one where i just posted the link. It gives you more of a fun, trendy look.
I think colored clothes would look best with it because the top is already black and white, so any greys, whites or blacks will make you look dreary and boring and tired. The colors however will pop out nicely.
As for shoes, I think converse would look like best with it.

Could you make me an outfit please? (from River Island) I live in the UK?
Q. Im wanting a new style and I would like help from people on here, because whenever I try and make an outfit it seems to just not match or look boring.

So, this is the site: www.riverisland.com

Just find top, jeans, shoes, scarf, and accsessories and maybe a jacket and just put the links in order of top to bottom.

The style Im looking for is casual trendy, a bit indie and not too girly (I prefer jeans and flat shoes)

I know Its alot to ask, but it would be a big favour if you guys could pick out a few outfits for me and whoever makes the best outfit they will deffo get best answer!

So thanks in advance

What to wear at the office with a pinstripe suit?

Q. I like dark grey suits with white vertical pinstripes for business wear. I have also worn solid dark blue ones for variety, but I like grey ones better. White broadcloth shirts are most formal, but there may be alternatives that are still sober and dignified. What colors and patterns of shirts and ties do you suggest for my formal business look? How about shoes? For bonus points, what brands and models of watches would you wear with such a business ensemble? It seems that magazines have recommended many tres gauche combos, and celebrities have worn many tasteless ones, so people are confused about proper dress now. Some people who have answered questions in this category have good taste, but some do not.
Doesn't anyone know something about proper dress for business? Surely someone works in a proper and conservative office as I have. I see some people recommending garish and tasteless ensembles, somewhat along the lines of stuff Woody Allen once wore to be ridiculous, but now, other celebrities wear worse stuff and don't know or don't care if it is tasteless.
I want to see what people say about watches. For business, Simple is best, so "Cellinis' are the Rolexes proper to wear with suits. I saw one recently for $3650. My basic dress watches by Cartier, Vacheron Constantin and Patek Philippe cost $10,700 to $15,000 now. I have 2 Rolex sports watches. The gold bracelet "OP Datejust" cost $13,150 in 1994. My Breguet "Marine" cost $29,500. The most complicated Rolex is a "Cosmograph Daytona" chronograph. I think a new on in gold costs $19,450. The ultimate single complication is chimes, e.g, a $507,000 Vacheron Constantin "30010" platinum skeleton minute repeater. I have written seeral books about watches. I am working on the 4th edition of "THE COSTLIEST WATCH BRANDS". Rolex places 41st now. In earlier editions, it was 18th to 24th. Breguet was costliest with Patek philippe 2nd, Vacheron constantin 3rd and A. Lange & Sohne 4th. A new brand Richard Mille wins now.
My coloring shows my 2 Cherokee grandmothers, i.e black hair with red highlights (some grey around the ears since age 17), ruddy bronze tanned skin plus brown eyes. when i was age 10, we went to a Cherokee village at the foot of the Smoky mountains. The Indians nearly kept me. Dad was amused. They didn't notice my siblings who have olive skins and medium brown hair. I look Cherokee, but they do not.

A. *laugh*

Ok.. first off, dark grey and white is pretty neutral as it can get. You could pretty much go for most colours, but I'd suggest lighter colours rather than the medim>dark colors. Why? because medium shades might be too intense against the contrast of the dark suit, and dark colored shirts will blend in too much... might make you look too .. dull.

Now, it depends on your skintone what colors look best on you. If you're light skinned, there are certain shades that will bring out your coloring, versus if you were dark or olive skinned. Without your notes on coloring, I can't really suggest any colours or any shades of colors... (example: yellows might make olive skin look too strange and dull, but the light blues/greens will bring olive skintones out) That's not a hard and fast rule because a very pale shade of yellow might look stunning against you, just not a green-yellow or a blue-yellow.. it's all relative in how the light hits your skin and bounces off the suit.

As for shirts/ties.. the general rule is that if your shirt is busy or bright, go for a neutral tie.

example: pinstriped suit, a light green shirt with faint white checks in it (not plaid..please), means you wear a tie that's a light grey/silver to pick up the white in the pinstripe, or even have a tie that's a mix of greens and silvers or a pattern to really bring out the shirt. You can go kind of crazy in terms of slick patterns with the ties (checks, stripes, light dots), but nothing like saxophones or weird babies on the front please... Spend up to about $100/tie, in a neutral silver or offsilver colour and it'll go with pretty much any shirt/suit combo.

As for shoes, if you have cash to blow, go to a high end store like Holt Renfrew in Toronto (depending on where you are, ask a woman..) and get a black and a brown pair of shoes, in real leather that are comfortable, and the same height (so that your pants will hang at the same height each time)

THen you'll need to get your pinstriped suit tailored to fit you perfectly, and to get the tailor to put a proper break in your pants so that they sit well over your new shoes. I like the Gucci loafers for men... if you can't afford high end, go to a place like a department store, or Aldos, or any place that sells trendy but decently done shoes.

The best watch? Rolex of course. Then Gucci or Prada. If you can't afford that, you could even go to Walmart and pick out a gorgeous smoked-grey face watch with a clean, silver band that would look great with your grey pinstriped suit. You can also try Fossil watches for a lower-end alternative that will last almost forever.

What advice do you have for me to build a new wardrobe?
Q. I'm a female college-age adult, with an androgynous aesthetic. I have lost pretty significant amounts of weight and need to basically rebuild my wardrobe nearly from scratch. I might as well try to do it right, since my body fat is probably not going to change substantially even though I'm trying to build up muscle. I am 5'3" and of medium body fat and above average muscularity, with medium-to-broad shoulders (narrow for a man, fairly broad for a woman); typical female thighs, hips and butt; B-cup breasts, a flat stomach; and an undefined waist. To me, flattering my body, in order of priority means looking making my shoulders look even broader, making my hips and thighs look narrower, looking taller, disguising my breasts and otherwise looking more masculine. My life-style requires that my clothing NOT look "moneyed" in any sense and I am almost never at formal events. I'd rather have my clothing be hard-wearing than delicate. I dress for practicality and comfort primarily. It doesn't have to be "trendy" and I wouldn't know if it was. It's winter so I'm concentrating on cool-weather clothing. I don't need new shoes or underwear. I have a very small budget so I will be shopping pretty near exclusively at thrift stores. I need general tips for clothing that works flatter my body in MY idea of flattering, and is comfortable and fairly practical.
I don't have a sense of style. I have a sense of wanting to look good in clothing that's comfortable. For me, looking good means looking more physically masculine. I want to know about clothing that helps with that.

A. Invest in good basic pieces such as:
- A crisp white button down
- Tank tops to wear as layers in black, white, beige
- One good pair of black or navy dress pants

Things of that sort. Things that aren't trendy but stand the test of time.

What about a man visually makes a woman go crazy?

Q. Things like high heels, skirts and poses in pictures make us go MY LAWD! What type of things do the same for a girl? Like what type of accessories on a guy, body parts or poses in pics. Or anything. What are the top things visually about a man that make you go MY LAWD!

Thanks

A. A great smile. Clean clothes that are in good repair, fit, and aren't too trendy. Standing up straight. Reading a book or a magazine like Scientific American. Kindness toward small children. Hair that doesn't look like he spent more than 5 minutes on it but that doesn't look unkempt either. Eyes that meet mine when he talks to me. A vocabulary relatively free of profanities. Hands that show that he's not afraid of a little work. Clean nails that aren't bitten down and ragged. Some muscles, but not the super buff gym rat look. Decent shoes. Soberness when all his friends are drunk. A throaty chuckle. Relatively straight teeth, but not too straight, like he spent a fortune on caps. Knowing how to hold a fork. A hint of chest hair peeking out of a white button down shirt. A hint of soap that tells me he recently showered. A nice rear end. A freshly shaven face. A good pair of sunglasses. A watch with a leather band. Combing his hair out of his face with his fingers. Drinking bottled water. Rolling his sleeves up to just below his elbows. A slim wallet. Gazing thoughtfully out a window.

What turns me off: Concert tour tee shirts. Baggy pants. Run-down shoes. Trying too hard to be handsome. Being too loud. Being drunk. Constantly being on the cell phone. Wearing a bluetooth. A car that's too sporty. Button down shirts with the top button done or too many buttons undone. Flabbiness. Reading muscle magazines or car magazines. Looking at every woman that passes by. Owning a pit bull. Coffee breath. Cigarette breath. Constant movement. Talking about golf. Complaining about women. Hating cats. Big belt buckles.

What are trending back to school fashions for teen girls?
Q. Im in middle school and I was wondering what to pick out this year for my new outfits. Thanks for any help!
*I'm on a budget, so nothing too expensive please.

A. Hey! (:

--BOHO is very in. Think feather earrings, feather extensions, brown leather/pleather belts, colorful geometric-pattern skirts, gauzy blouses, etc.

--LACE is in...on shirts, bangles, accessories, and hair thingies.

--Fringe is in
--Cropped pants
--Sandals
--Rompers
--Anything off-the-shoulder (if you're allowed at your school)
--High waisted shorts
--Leather...on bags, belts, jackets, etc.
--Big, boho scarves. Especially with crazy patterns...think Pucci
--Distressed jeans
--Flare jeans are REALLY REALLY REALLY in right now!
--Ankle booties!
--Any oxford-style shoes
--Flowy blouses or the cute floral blouses
--Maxi dresses and skirts are really in, but I'm not sure anyone our age wears them?
--Oversized sweaters with skinny jeans or leggings and booties or boots

For stores, try:
--Forever 21 for skirts, blouses, party dresses, and cheap accessories...also, this store gives you a good idea of what's "in" right now
--Kohl's/Walmart/Target for basics
--Payless for cheap ballet flats and other trendy shoes
--Abercrombie and Fitch or Hollister for preppy classics. Try looking at the online sales! The stuff can be knocked down by 30 or 40 dollars!
--H&M has the whole boho style
--Nordstrom is amazing...great quality! It's a little more expensive, though.
--Try a basic drugstore for makeup...cheap and easy.
--American Eagle has the best jeans. They also have cute boho stuff.
--PacSun has awesome jeans, and vintagey cool clothes and accessories.

Good luck! (:

how does type 2 diabetes affect your life?

Q.

A. Not much, once you get used to it. I can still enjoy M&Ms so long as I can work it into my carb count. It's only a handfull or two, not the whole 12 oz bag, though :-) Having to keep high carb snacks on hand for possible hypo episodes is kind of like keeping oil and fluids in the car just in case you need them. Taking the meds is what, all of ten seconds out your day? Checking your blood sugar doesn't take much more time than that either. Exercise for the enjoyment of it and you won't feel like it's a punishment to be diabetic (if you don't like walking, try taking ballroom dancing).

Now, dealing with other people can be a challenge. Non diabetics can be clueless, and refuse to learn anything. Other diabetics think they know more than your doctor does. Some of have "food police" in the family, some of us have "diabetes isn't real" family members.

But, you see a doctor more often than if you weren't diabetic, so you're getting better healthcare. Your diet improves. You choose good fitting shoes over trendy looking, bad fitting ones. You care about issues like national health insurance, medicare/medicaid, social security, etc, even if you aren't old yet.

What Clothes are good for the basis of a men's wardrobe?

Q. I was just in the army for 3 years and upon getting back into things, I've realized that my wardrobe could possibly use some updating. I have
-2 pairs of jeans (AE bootcut, and Old Navy Mechanics).
-Camo Army pants
-Random Cargo Shorts
A bright yellow polo shirt and a red one
-Tshirts, mostly darkblue, and other darker colors
-plenty of button up the front plaid shirts, long and short sleeve (wore these with shorts or jeans with sleeves rolled up.
-All set in the formal clothes dept (have good suits shirts and ties)
-have some leather flipflops and some adidas sambas as shoes

That's about it! What should I get that wont cost obscene amounts of money but will fill out my wardrobe? I really want a good basis to work off of. Clothes for casual, and clothes if i wanna dress up a bit and want to go out.

Thanks for the help!

A. Maybe try some cool new staples for your wardrobe, that accent it, because it sounds pretty good so far! maybe a trendy jean jacket with a few patches sewn on (your favorite bands), then, maybe a nice pinstripe jacket a gray one always looks good. Sambas are awesome shoes, maybe try a pair of converse, sure, a lot of people own them, but you can't beat a pair of all black low tops! they look great under dark jeans with a cool button up top!

Can you show me what shoes to wear with some designer jeans and a button down shirt.?
Q. I decided to start dressing a little bit more trendier. I have these really nice vintage Polo Jeans and I want to wear them with a nice tight shirt from INC.

What shoes would match that combination? I mean like what specific style?

Can you show me a pic.

A. if there vintage, im assuming you want to keep it casual, so probably something like a pair of P.F. flyers would be good, or some white tennis shoes. http://www.tobi.com/men/home/shop-by-brand/331-pf-flyers

I am thinking about buying a men/women's clothing store in a small town. What can I do to update it?

Q. I can't spend a lot of money, but I would like to make the store not look so 80's. Any suggestions about how to update dressing rooms, choose paint colors, use trendy decor would be appreciated. Also, what kind of fixtures are popular right now (mannequins, racks, display cases)? If you have any tips on going to market, that would be great too!

A. well i would try store supply.com & my friend redid an old store with tons of stuff from ikea they are affordable & easy to assemble. For the markets i would take alot of linesheets & write notes dont sign anything incase you change your mind you doont want them to have your signature because then its hard to cancel an order. I usually write all my orders after the show to see all my options you can budget that way better too. Definetly wear comfortable shoes & bring some candy or granola bars because it gets tiring talking allll day. My favorite show is in vegas Magic & project you need to go the whole time because they also have alot of great seminars that you can learn from. http://show.magiconline.com/magic/v42/index.cvn

what are the trendy shoe styles this year?
Q. I'm starting a business selling shoes but I need to know which are the most trendy styles for women this year. I don't want to buy a bunch of shoes that will not sell. I know that really high heels are not so in, but what about wedges or slip-ons? Please let me know your suggestions,

Thanks!

A. Well for teens, like myself you should try these:

* Flats - everyone loves them even adults.

* Converse or Vans. They are very in.

* my personal favorite shoes are harajuki, it's hard to spell. But they are proably the most expensive sneakers out there. The style of them is japanese harajuki obviously and they have a lot of high top and bright colors.

But the MUST haves are pretty much flats and vans. Guys also wear vans.

What sneakers/casual shoes are trendy right now for young women?

Q. Hi, I'm 20 and I'm looking for some sneakers or casual shoes that are somewhat like sneakers. I plan on wearing them a lot during the fall season. I want to a buy a few pairs. So my question is, what brand or style is hot right now for fall 2007? I know boots and other classy style are in but I'm looking for somewhat comfortable casual sneakers. I hope sneakers is the right word for my question. My definition of a sneaker in this case is a shoe that resembles workout/sports attire but can be worn outside the gym. If any girls out there have some advice, please feel free to comment. :)

A. From my point of view, adidas superstar are ageless...like they are cool every year, every season....
Sth like this,a merge between ballet and sports shoes are really nice and casual http://www.shoes.com/product.asp?p=5031266&variant_id=EC1020958 you could try finding some a bit more colourful
