I am doing an internship with a teacher. I have no idea what to wear for my first day!?
Q. For my education class, we are required to do observation hours in classrooms in the area. I am not sure what to wear. The days that I work are on Fridays so what should I wear? I have the basic black dress pants, but do not know where to go from there! Or where to get things at a reasonable price for a college student. Please help!
A. Black dress pants are a good basic to have but they need to have bootcut or flared leg openings to really be considered dressy. Black and white blouse are good but you can also mix in color too. Take a look for blazers and cardigans with color or some some color block tops. You could also look into grey and tan colored wide leg pants. For shoes, I'd stick with heels of some kind but not over 4 inches high. Have fun with jewelry and keep your nails painted.
Look at Macy's, NY & Co. Ann Taylor and Dillards for classic pieces. Be careful trying to go too trendy with things like skinny pants, cropped pants and leggings. Avoid the teen stores.
