What sort of clothes do girls wear at University and freshers week?

Q. I don't have a lot of trendy casual clothes because I work a 9-5 job then a nightshift job to save up for university so I'm generally in work clothes or pj's so I've had no need for casual clothes hah.. shows how social I am :p

I am joining Uni in September and was thinking.. what do girls wear to freshers and uni? I have a few club dresses but I won't want to be wearing those to casual drinks.

What should I bulk up on?
I'm a very t-shirt jeans converse/flats type of girl so if you could suggest any particular tops I should buy (I have enough jeans) I'd appreciate it.

What sort of outfits?

Any cheap online stores which sells trendy t-shirts or shoes (I only have 2 pairs - 1 converse for work and 1 heels).
