Women...just pondering?

Q. 1. After a day of work do you ever come home with your feet hurting?
2. If so then what kind of job do you have?
3. Have your feet ever hurt so bad you took you shoes off?
4. Would you like to have your feet massaged after a day of work?
5. What are the most painful shoes you have ever worn?
6. Whats your favorite color for a pedicure?
7. Would you rather have a back rub or foot rub after a day of work?
8. Would you consider it a good thing if a guy offered to massage your feet for you when they hurt?
9. Would you rather go shopping in comfort of flip flops or look trendy and wear heels and end the day with sore feet?
Thanks for answering!

A. 1. My feet hurt every day.
2. I'm an OH-58 mechanic in the Army.
3. I take my shoes off as soon as I come home.
4. Would you please come over to my house around 4:30? That would be lovely!
5. A black pair of Candie's that had massive heels.
6. I prefer the French pedicure, but a soft pastel pink is nice too.
7. Definitely foot rub. These Army boots weren't made for walking.
8. Oh most definteily! Where have you been all my life?
9. Well, if I had a guy like you at the house, I'd wear the trendy shoes and have you rub them down in the evening!

Women's Running shoes!?
Q. I need to purchase new running shoes. I currently run 5-7 miles per day mainly on the treadmill. I have narrow feet and VERY high arches. My current pair are Asics to which I added poly sorb insoles, I love them now, but they were really hard to break in, they pushed down on my toes for a long time (no they are not too small, I always get my feet measured and the size has been the same for a long time). So ladies or men who REALLY know about women's running shoes, can anyone recommend a shoe for my foot type and need that will not take forever to break in? I would love to go to a specialty running store, but there is not one in my area.
BTW-I don't care about what is cute or trendy.

A. 2 words: New Balance. They're great running and walking shoes.. They are very light weight and merciless on the balls of your feet... They are really comfortable... I ran track and I would slip them on after I ran and they are a good quality shoe.. pricy but good.

High Heels Shoe Advice!?!?!?
Q. I usually wear trainers so when i go out i MUST wear high heals (i wouldn't go out to pubs in trainers :|), after about half hour to a hour of standing in the pub my feet start hurting BAD... i was wondering what i could do/use so that my feet won't hurt as much while wearing heels... + don't say "don't wear them" because thats abit obvious ¬_¬. Proper answers please.

Thanks.

A. If you don't HAVE to wear a heel but would like a flirty, trendy dress shoe..May I suggest Mary Janes. They come in a variety of colors and prices. I wear them sometimes although I'm only 5'4. They work with my jeans, dress slacks, skirts (especially A-line), summer dresses and much more! Think of how cute young girls look in those shoes and they work with everything. Makes the men think you took a few years of your age too. I was told the other day by a pretty well-dressed attractive man that he loves a woman in a Mary Jane and it appeals as it takes years off they're look. Oo Sounds like a winner! :) Sorry, don't mean to write a book, but another option I love that is classy yet sassy without losing comfort is the heel with thickness all over the bottom of the shoe, not a wedge as they can be hard to walk on but just a well-balanced thick heel and maybe some build to counter balance the toe. Hope this helps! Have safe fun :)

what is a good trendy boutique name?

Q. Target age 16-35
Selling trendy clothing, accessories, handbags, and shoes will be imported from Hong Kong, Japan & Korea.

A. At the end of the day you want paying customers. That why you target and older crowd, with a younger trendy look. Sure a 16 yr old might walk through the door, but the mom is right behind her, or she's holding her mom's credit card.

That being said, copying someone else is the best measure. No need to reinvent the wheel.

That being said, I was given some personal advice from someone in the industry. "Name your store after someone's name" It is much easier to brand Annabelle Borgia than it is to brand The Hand Bag. And, the reason why is, because people can be led to believe Annabelle is a real person and she dresses a certain way, and girl / women will fantasize about being her. The Hand Bag really doesn't translate to a whole frame of mind.

What are the hottest trends for women this summer?
Q. Whether it's through fashion or beauty
I also bought a few dresses ooff of eBay, can someone help me hook them up, either dress up or down...I'll be leaving to Florida soon, so i want to wear them down there.

A. I hope i answered your question.

Well you cant forget about the neutrels, burmuda shorts, and dont forget the wedge shoes.

Seasonal Color Trends

This season's Spring colors are more subdued and romantic. Powdery pastels in baby blue, apricot, pale yellow, and light shades of green will bring out your feminine side. Paired with classic neutrals such as black, white and taupe, you're sure to find shades that suit you best.

Summer Fabrics

The new Spring and Summer season brings back some great classic fabrics. Now you'll be seeing more light, lacy fabrics and the basic cotton stretch. Spandex-inspired designs offer comfort and versatility that allow women of all shapes and sizes to enjoy. Dresses and skirts in flowing chiffon and silk are sure to please those looking for a feminine, classy look. Great for work and fun!

Patterns

For those who prefer color, go bright and bold. For style and sophistication, opt for luscious garden prints, retro patterns and black and white geometrical shapes. Many cultures add to ethnic styles with colorful patterns mixed with rich, earth tones.

For a classical look, preppy polo shirts give you stripes galore! The further apart the stripes, the larger you may appear. If you're concerned, choose tops with stripes closer together, with only two colors. Diagonal lines can be rather slimming if they're narrow and meet at the front. Vertical stripes on trousers are a must-have, but only paired with a solid shirt or blouse.

Style Trends

This summer brings some new, exciting fashion trends. With warmer weather moving in, women want simple, feminine styles. Traditional, tailored clothing are classic and will always be a shoe-in for business, weddings, or formal events. Layer your clothing to switch from work to play. Keep your classics cleaned and pressed for impromptu summer events and activities.

Look for denim blue jeans that are cuffed at least 3" deep with sexy, flat sandals. Cool things off with a tank top to expose your shoulders. Don't go light on support, invest in a seasonal bra that has clear or removable straps. Look for tanks and halters that have a built-in bra for style and convenience.

Spring's knee-length skirts flow naturally for eye-catching appeal. Solid colors and subtle designs are more traditional while unique patterns allow us to show personality and pizzazz. Faded denim is always a hit for a rock concert or wild night in the city.

Combine a basic tee, gypsy-style skirt, and flip-flops to gain immediate attention. For a more sophisticated look, pair a great flouney skirt with a stylish tank top. Sandals or wedge shoes in a neutral color compliment most styles and are practical for warmer weather.

Trendy, military inspired clothing shows your support and is an instant hit for casual wear. Take your pick from light cotton cargos, camouflage, walking shorts, and belted jackets. Be creative and accessorize with a belt and dog tags.

Modern Accents and Accessories

The upcoming Spring fashions accentuate unique personalities and bring with it some of Winter's hottest trends in accessories and jewelry.

For necklaces, think layers and match up with funky beads and symbolic pendants.

Bangle bracelets and watches adorned with etchings or glitter.

Toe rings, thumb rings, body jewelry.

Chunky, ethnic pieces. Old fashioned designs.

Sunglasses with oversized frames and lenses.

A flirty sarong for the beach.

Open-backed slides with sequin accents and beads.

Hot Makeup Trends:

What's hot this Summer? Makeup adds definition to the face and this season brings earthy shades with defined cheeks. For those who are a little more conservative, taupe will lift your spirit and look great in pictures. Both peaches and corals radiate a youthful glow -- and can take years off of your face. From eye shadow, cheeks, to lips, pink gives you a healthy look, while underplaying fine lines and wrinkles.

what brand of trainers are trendy nice for a female?
Q. i usualy wear heels but i want some trainers for days out and just for comfort i bought a pair of very cheap plain black ones but hate them. id be happier if they were pink or more girly looking :) ive been looking at skechers and pink converse but dont know wich will look best. or if there are any brands i should look at

A. Skechers are great and they also help you shape up and tone your body just by wearing them around walking or on the job or anywhere else they even have running shoes to give burn calories than other shoes.
They are worth trying out because they will tone your body up and make you look leaner and taller just by regularly wearing them.
They got cool colors like pink and purple and more, they are quite trendy in additional to their health benefits even Kim Kardashian wears them and they have a complete collection by her name.
The skechers Tone ups are cool too. I like Women's Shape-ups - Kinetix Response S R T.
I've written an article on the benefits of Shape Ups, if you're interested to know more check it out at the link below. The article is on men's shoes but the benefits are the same for both.

How do big girls dress sexy?

Q. I'm going with some friends to a night club in a few days, im a pretty big girl, how do i dress sexy?

A. Begin with the wardrobe. If you normally walk around in a pair of tired old sweats and a baggy tee...let's have some fun and update!

Select hot outfits. Just because finding clothes is harder doesn't mean you can't still find hot outfits! Try any store you like, even the thrift shops! Make sure your clothes are not tight!

Look curvy and sexy. For a sophisticated look go for darker jeans. the low-rise kind will hug your curves which is just want you want and prevent the bulge you get around the front of the crotch and fly of your jeans if you have a very large stomach.

Provide coverage, if desired. If you don't like to show your arms, try a black sheer hang jacket. Sexy clothing doesn't have to show too much.

Wear one color. You don't want to be cut in half. Stick to deeper shades. If you have to wear two colors, wear the darker on the bottom and the lighter color on on top.

Belts can give you a nice waistline. It's best to go with thicker black ones or have it match the shirt or jacket your wearing.

Only wear skirts that at least go to your knees. Also wear leggings or tights underneath skirts to reduce the appearance of fat.

Stay away from broomstick skirts! Even if you are digging the bohemian look, these are not attractive on anyone!

Go for sexy well-fitted jeans. Wide legs are good if you have a big, voluptuous booty. Skinny jeans are still in style and look great on a lot of bigger girls.

Don't show your chest. Wear collared shirts and high-rising shirts. Chances are that you have a large chest...you don't need to show the skin.

Select long earrings. They are always in style and chic.

Be confident, which is the sexiest thing of all. Guys will look your way if they know you are a woman of confidence.

Play up with hot necklaces and shoes. Go for reasonably high heels and trendy flats.

Have flawless skin. Use an exfoliating scrub. When you get out of the shower, apply non-oily moisturizer (Try one with a shimmering effect!) to your body and face moisturizer to your face. Wash your face at least once a day with gentle soap such as Dove. Shower at least once a day, as well as any time you get sweaty.

Apply beautiful light makeup. Use foundation a few shades lighter than your skin. Then apply white shadow from your lash line to your brows, and a hint of light green shadow on your lids. Use light mascara and some chapstick.

Good luck!

Makeup that will make me look a bit older?
Q. I went to a party and was promptly kicked out on the accusation that I presented a fake ID , and I'm 20 but look 15. Is there any makeup or something that will make me look a bit older?

A. Steps

1. Take care of yourself by washing regularly, using deodorant, and, for women, try to do your makeup as often as possible.
2. Fix your eyebrows. Some surveys say that when your eyebrows are done and put together, you can look more mature and therefore, look older.
3. Wear sophisticated looking clothes. This doesn't mean that you have to wear a suit everyday, but stay tuned to trends that suit your age or the age you want to look. Stay away from pastels such as bubblegum pink, light blue, sea green etc. Men should avoid baseball caps and baggy jeans.
4. Consult with a hair stylist. Give a brief summary of your situation or just simply ask for a "mature cut". Look towards more trendy hairstyles. Someone who follows trends generally is or appears to be older. That said, you shouldn't be reading seventeen magazines. Start reading InStyle, Allure, People, Cosmopolitan or Vogue.
5. Work on the way you appear to people, such as personality traits and characteristics.
6. Listen to others. People who are good listeners appear more mature.
7. Be comfortable when talking to people who are older than you.
8. Act calm, and handle things in a reserved manner.
9. Show cleavage appropriately, wear heels, and wear a watch.
10. Dress like the age group you want to fit into. Buy clothes that fit you, not ones that are popular. Avoid Abercrombie, Hollister, and American Eagle because they are symbols of teen style unless you are younger you may. Do not wear plastic flip flops. Chic leather sandals are a good investment because they will usually compliment your feet, make you look richer, make you look older, and complete an outfit.
11. Try to be more put together on a daily basis. Focus on cute shoes and accessories.
12. Wearing a Vera Bradley Bag, colorful Coach bag, or any other colorful purse will make you look instantly younger. If you want to look older, look for more neutral colored handbags. Look for leather, for some reason the older you become, the more leather you own.
13. Women: Wear Makeup. If you are a young woman, only use a little and learn to do it properly. If you overdo your makeup, you'll look more like you've raided your older aunt's makeup drawer than a mature woman! Learn to properly apply makeup to suit your face and fashion needs.
14. Care For Your Skin. If you have acne, do something about it. Go on medication, have a skin clearing regimen.
15. Keep up with current events. It is true that not all adults keep up with current events and it is almost impossible to keep up with all current events. But watch the news once in awhile. It can impress on others that you are aware of world affairs and are capable of staying current.
16. Make the first changes understated. If you transition gracefully, no one should notice much of a change
17. Act mature. If you are all over the place, and hyper and peppy all of the time, you will seem childish no matter what you're wearing.
18. Be careful with your speech. Use proper English. If you're using a lot of slang, swears, and stammering words like, "ummm", "you know", you will not sound like a mature man or woman. Avoid saying "like" every two words. Enhance your vocabulary; if you speak eloquently you will be perceived as more mature.
19. Choose a mature role model to emulate. Pick an actor, musician, or other public figure who is your age or a few years older that projects a sophisticated image. The way he or she dresses, speaks, walks, and acts can help you understand how a mature persona acts.

Tips

*
1. If the people in a given store all look much older than you, you may be dressing too young. Find out where your peers shop.
2. If you're petite, buy petite clothing rather than shopping at the "Misses'" section.
3. If you're a woman, don't shop in the "Junior's" section if you are over 18 or so. That section is for teenagers, not young women.

How can I look classy and "upscale"?

Q. I am a 21 year old woman and I want to look more classy/elegant/refined, more "upscale"
How does one stand out as someone like this? Does anyone have any advice on how to dress/mannerisms/etc. etc?

Thanks!

A. Here are some simple tips that always work:

1. Wear clothes that fit you well, and never wear anything too low cut or too tight. Don't wear very bright colors or anything too trendy.

2. Don't wear a lot of jewelry. A ring and a necklace or a bracelet and earrings or a bracelet and a necklace are good combinations and are enough.

3. Don't wear cheap shoes, and don't wear shoes that are scuffed or dirty.

4. Carry a good quality handbag. A logo bag is not necessary, and especially stay away from Coach bags. Everyone has one now, and they don't mean anything anymore. Don't carry a handbag designed by a celebrity either.

5. Keep your makeup simple. Don't wear bright colored eyeshadow or dark lipstick. Mascara, peach blush and pink lip gloss are good.

6. Always have perfectly manicured nails, and never, ever walk around with chipped nail polish. If you wear sandals, make sure you have a perfect pedicure.

7. Wear perfume, but make sure it is subtle and soft.

8. Always wear a good bra and good undergarments that hold in your stomach.

9. Make sure you have a hairstyle that you can maintain and style yourself, and make sure it's neat and well-kept.

10. Don't ever be the loudest mouth in the room, don't interrupt others, don't insult people, and be gracious even when you are insulted. Don't do anything to embarrass someone, even if they deserve it.

11. Don't ever gossip. This deserves its own number. That's the quickest way to lower yourself to the pond scum level.

12. Don't buy your clothes in the junior section or at the typical young girls stores like Forever 21. Shop at Macy's or Nordstrom. You can find wonderful things on clearance, and remember it's quality not quantity.

13. Monochromatic dressing is very sophisticated. For example, if you are wearing tan colored pants, wear a beige t-shirt with a pretty necklace, and wear tan colored boots or heels. It makes you look polished.

14. Flats are very comfortable but also a one-way path to looking frumpy. Wear heels when at all possible, even if it's just one inch.

15. Go to the bookstore and check out the books in the Appearance section. There are tons of them. They have good ideas and are a lot of fun.

16. You are young and just developing your style, so be patient with yourself. It takes time to learn what you like and what looks good on you, and your tastes will change and refine over time. Have fun while you're at it.

17. Don't ever buy or wear anything that doesn't make you feel really good.

Q. Like what type of shoes are popular and what colors of clothing so people wear right now. What kind of purses do they use huge hobo bags? little wrist purses

A. Filipinos generally follow international trends. It's easy, with the availability of news, and international stores in most malls (Zara, Nine West, Mango, Top Shop/Dorothy Perkins, DKNY, Guess, and many more, including expensive stuff like LV, Gucci, Coach, Burberry, etc.) They do not necessarily buy from the stores named above, and know where to find value for money. Filipinos are generally not big spenders and have mostly classics and a few trendy pieces. They have an eye for good trends that would last beyond a short season. They usually prefer comfort rather than suffer, although depending on occasion, they would be willing to grin and bear it.

Big spacious bags & totes in different designs & materials, as well as wrist purses, depending on where they are going.

Women's shoes range from strappy flats & ballet shoes, to kitten heels, wedge heels, and four inch heels with either thin straps or those thick studded straps, and semi-boots. They wear fully closed, sling-back & peeptoe for office shoes, in sensible heels. The toebox could either be pointy, round or square. They also have good walking sandals and slip-ons with rubber soles, flip flops, crocs, sneakers and running shoes.

Help me fashionably pack for 4 months?
Q. So this a weird question, I am going for 4 months, to Paris and Dubai. Two cities where i want to look the best and most fashionable i can. What I am kind of asking for is suggestions of must haves for spring/summer 2013.
Guys i've been to dubai before, it's not really conservative for foreigners, and it's not like I'm planning on walking around in a bikini! I am asking about trends and fashion essentials in your opinion. I don't know but 4 months is scary to pack!

A. I would take maxi dresses (not low cut) for Dubai with coordinating cropped jackets. The big hotels in Dubai are somewhat conservative but if you want to go to a marketplace, it is much more conservative.

For Paris, you need neutral pants with cute tops and at least one little black dress that you can dress up or down with accessories. Parisian women dress up more than Americans or Brits so take some heels and/or wedge shoes as well as flats for touring around and walking a lot.

For both places, I would look for clothing that combines tangerine and deep pink, the light aqua spearmint color, and a darker blue that is between navy and cobalt. Also, white shoes and handbags are trendy for this summer but difficult to keep clean when traveling. Have fun!! : }

What to get for a trip to France?
Q. I'm 14 and am going to France at the end of this month. We'll be in Paris for a couple of days, then will spend the rest of the week in St. Tropez. What will I need to pack or shop for? Like, for the weather, etc. I don't want to stand out as a tourist, and want to like nice when we go out for dinners and such. So if you could tell me what I'll need for clothes or anything else. Thanks!

A. Even if you are fashion-oriented, pack your most comfortable clothes from home. If you're from a climate that sports a lot of florals and bright colors, aim for the subdued approach. You can never go wrong wearing black in Paris - in fact, you'll notice that this is the color scheme that most of the locals live in. You've heard it all before - black is slimming, always in style, and versatile - a flattering black sweater or pants/skirt can be dressed down for daywear and easily spruced up for a night on the town. As a traveler, black has the added benefit of not showing the "wear and tear" of a trip. And if you can't stand wearing black, try other neutral colors - like beiges, browns, and creams. Leave your hoodies and matching sweatpants, white tennis shoes, shorts and bright colored nylon windbreakers at home. The comfortable clothes that suburban American women live-in, are not seen on Parisians outside of their homes.
Don't over pack with too many outfits. Bring basics that travel well and that you can mix and match. Dress up your outfits with accessories - necklaces, earrings and scarves. Scarves are ubiquitous in Paris - Parisian women know they are a quick and easy way to pull an outfit together.
Paris is a city made for walking and you'll be on your feet more than you can imagine. You will see the trendy, flat "puma" like tennis shoes on young Parisians, but if you want to blend in, leave at home your white/tennis running shoes. We know that these shoes are comfortable and built for mileage, but white tennis shows are the tell-tale sign of "American Tourist". Truthfully, when we see white shoes in a sea of black, we know that it is a fellow American in Paris. Unfortunately, many unsavory types that prey on tourists also know that this is the case. Don't make yourself an easy mark for pickpockets - leave the white tennis shoes at home.
Invest in shoes designed for walking (Recommended brands are Ecco, Mephisto, or Dansko). One day of climbing steps up monuments and navigating cobblestoned corridors and you'll understand why these sturdy European brands are so popular among Parisians . Or, wear a pair of flats, loafers or short-heeled boots that have been battle-tested at home for walking. Before you toss your favorite Levi's in a suitcase, remember that we're talking about Paris, and the jeans you see on Parisians contain certain stylistic elements - dark, slim fit "skinny jeans", or slight flare - paired with low-heels or ballet flats for daytime walking and stilettos for going out at night. If your jeans can be described as high-waisted or pleated, you'll feel more comfortable wearing black pants or a skirt - especially for dining in the evening.A bonus about visiting Paris is that you don't need to obsess over your hair and make-up. It seems like a contradiction in terms, but Parisian woman tend to favor the "au natural" look more than their American counterparts.

Bottom line: Dress your age and dress nicely - you'll be rewarded with better treatment in cafés, shops and restaurants

What are classic pieces that every woman should have in her wardrobe?

Q. I am looking to update my wardrobe, and want items that won't go out of style.

A. Jeans and Pants

Two pairs of trousers which vary in style. Wide-legged pants or man-style trousers and another pair that are a more timeless, classic cut.
Two pairs of jeans in different cuts. Fitted, straight legged or flared and wide-legged or man style. This can include skinny jeans if you have the body shape to wear them.

Coats and Jackets

A really great, well-cut coat. A timeless trench will take you from season to season.
Two jackets. One that can be teamed with pants and the other that looks good over dresses.

Dresses and Tops

Long-sleeved T-shirts or tops in varying weights but in basic colours such as black, white or cream.
One classic, fitted white shirt, crisp and classy.
A cashmere sweater and cardigan in a V-neck and round neck.
A few great day dresses which are easy to wear and versatile for any occasion. One of these should be the indispensable wrap dress smart, sexy and timeless.
A colorful evening dress which makes you feel great.
The ultimate little black dress.

Handbags and Shoes

One pair of wild look-at-me, statement shoes for those times you want to be noticed.
A pair of versatile,sophisticated black medium-heeled courts.
Comfortable ballet flats in different styles and colors.
A pair of walking boots and a pair of statement boots, fashionable and trendy.
One really serious handbag which brings class to an outfit and that you are proud to wear.

Accessories Jewelry and Sunglasses

A few pairs of sunglasses in different colors and styles.
An ever growing range of fun costume jewelry high street and vintage, which allows you to update your outfits and show your individuality.

What's the difference between heels and pumps?
Q.

A. Pumps
Pumps are the classic choice for professional women's wear. Choose a pump with a mid-height heel for a clean and businesslike look. A 2-inch to 2.5-inch heel is comfortable for walking. Choose quality leather pumps in a classic style for a shoe that will last for years and work with a variety of outfits. If your budget allows, purchase a new pair of pumps occasionally, opting for a trendier heel shape or details to keep your look fresh. Chunkier heels can still work well with a pump and may be more comfortable.
Heels
High heels remain the elegant choice for evening wear. While a very high strappy heel is beautiful and sexy, the appeal is lost if the shoe is uncomfortable and makes walking difficult. When choosing high heels, be sure that you can comfortably walk in the shoe. If you dislike very high heels, a kitten heel offers a pretty and practical alternative. Chunkier heels have been a favorite among women and can be quite appropriate for evenings out, especially in a dressier material or if accented with a pretty peep toe or other detailing.
